Pilots drop road match 7-0 to Huskies

PORTLAND, Ore. – Lela Daszuta was able to steal a set, but the Portland Pilots women's tennis team ultimately fell to the Washington Huskies 7-0 in Seattle.

The Huskies took the doubles point first by sweeping all three matches. Portland kept it close in the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles slots, but ultimately couldn't steal a match and fell behind 1-0.

Washington carried that energy into the singles matches, sweeping those as well. Lela Daszuta had the best singles performance for Portland in the No. 6 slot. The freshman bounced back from a 6-2 loss in the first set and earned a 6-3 win in the second.
