PORTLAND, ORE. --- The Portland Pilots dominated their first home West Coast Conference match against the San Francisco Dons with a convincing 3-0 sweep Thursday night in the Chiles Center. The Pilots took the three consecutive sets with scores of 25-19, 25-8, and 25-18.
The Pilots (9-6, 2-1 WCC) started off the first set on a five-point run to lead 8-3. USF (4-13, 0-4 WCC) slowed Portland's momentum with kills from the Dons' kill leaders Emily Reed and Tyna Adamcikova. The Pilots then added three consecutive kills to widen the gap by six, followed by another six point run make the score 18-10.
