Pilots Defeat UC Davis for Fourth Straight Win

PORTLAND, Ore. – Isaiah White scored a career-high 23 points and Jacob Tryon recorded his first career double-double as Portland won its fourth straight game with a 72-62 victory over UC Davis Saturday afternoon at the Chiles Center.

Tryon finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds, including numerous clutch plays down the stretch as Portland pulled away late.

The Pilots (5-1) matched the program's best six-game start since the 1995-96 squad opened with a 6-0 record. This is the sixth time the team has won at least five-of-six games to start a season since 1986.

The second half featured two ties and eight lead changes before a late 11-0 Pilot run gave the home team control.
