SEATTLE, Wash. – The Portland men's tennis team completed day one action at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships hosted by the University of Washington at the Nordstrom Tennis Center and Seattle Tennis Center.
All nine Pilots on the roster travelled and competed in opening round action. Portland, featuring six true freshmen, won three of its four opening round doubles matches and had three singles players advance.
Senior Carlos Donat posted a three-set singles win over Oregon's Evan Felcher, 5-7, 7-6, 6-4. Sophomore Tom Hann also pulled out a three-setter, defeating Bernardo Moraes of Sacramento State 6-1, 6-7, 6-3.
