PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots men's soccer team concludes the exhibition portion of their schedule when they battle No. 11 Washington in a friendly at Merlo Field Saturday night. Kickoff for the two northwest rivals is set for 7 p.m.
The Pilots were recently tabbed to finish second in the West Coast Conference and Portland received two first-place votes among the league's coaches in a preseason poll. Portland also placed a conference-high three players, Paul Christensen, Benji Michel and Kris Reaves, on the Preseason All-WCC Team.
Portland is led by second-year head coach Nick Carlin-Voigt, who was recently named one of the top-10 coaches under 40 in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer.
