MADISON, Wis. --- The Portland Pilots' men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Nuttycombe Invitational on Friday, one of the nation's premier meets, which is held annually at Thomas Zimmer Championship Course. In a very competitive field of lineups, the Portland women finished in 24th place overall, while the men claimed a 9th place finish in the team scores.
In the women's 6K open race, junior Grace Perkins finished first (22:21.2), followed closely by Virag Weiler (22:29.2). Coming in at third for Portland was Grace Ritchie, claiming a new personal best with her time of 22:36.
