SEATTLE, Wash. --- Portland junior Lauren LaRocco and redshirt sophomore Taryn Rawlings each broke school records in their respective events earlier this afternoon in the Dempsey Indoor facility on the final day of the UW Invite.
LaRocco finished the 3000m in 9:16.66, for an impressive sixth-place finish, setting a new personal record. Teammate Anna Farello also set a new personal record in the 3000m, crossing the line at 9:27.16 for a 16-place finish. Rawlings ran an exceptional mile, to set a new PR in the mile with a time of 4:45.72.
"Lauren, Taryn, and Anna all did a great job with three PRs and two school records on the day," said women's head coach Ian Solof.
