SALEM, Ore.---The Portland Pilots beach volleyball team opened their season with a match against Corban University on Sunday, with the Pilots and the Warriors going 3-3 down in Salem.
1s pair Shayla Hoeft and Alycia Wodke went 2-0 against the Warriors, sweeping their first game and winning the second in three sets.
2s pair Kendall Nolan and Sophie Lee lost both matches, going 0-2 in the first match and 1-2 in the second.
3s pair Krysten Bugarin and Maluhia Hirahara went 1-1 on the day, winning their first match 2-0 before the Warriors held them off in the second.
