PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots women's cross country and track and field teams have added Emma Abrahamson to their coaching staff, announced head coach Ian Solof. Abrahamson joins the Pilots in her first coaching position after recently graduating from the University of Oregon last winter.
"We are very excited to have Emma join us," said Solof. "She is really positive, loves running, and connected with our team right away."
A native of Carlsbad, Calif., Abrahamson competed on the Oregon cross country and track teams from 2015-18 after a brief stint at Vanderbilt. With the Commodores, she nabbed SEC All-Freshman cross country honors after posting a 6K time of 21:06:00 and finishing 37th at the SEC Cross Country Championships.
