PORTLAND, Ore. --- Outfielder Briley Knight, who began his collegiate career at the University of Utah, is transferring to Portland and should have three years of eligibility remaining with the Pilots. In seven starts for the Utes this spring, Knight hit .321 with four RBI's and five runs scored.
Originally from Corvallis, Ore., Knight started 28 games as a freshman at Utah, making 40 appearances overall, and he hit .255 at the plate. He also tallied 17 RBI's, scored 21 runs, belted a pair of homers, and collected eight doubles and a triple.
Prior to Utah, Knight was a two-time, all-state selection for the Crescent Valley Raiders.
