Pilot Defense Clamps Down late for Sixth Straight Win

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Portland Pilots used a late 11-0 run to pull out a 75-69 West Coast Conference road win over Pacific Thursday night at the Spanos Center. Moses Wood and Chris Austin scored 18 points apiece in leading Portland to its sixth consecutive victory.

The six-game win streak is the first since the 2008-09 season and the five consecutive WCC wins is also the first since that same season. The sweep of Pacific is the first since the Tigers rejoined the WCC for the 2013-14 season.

The game featured seven ties and 13 lead changes as Pacific forward Alphonso Anderson was dominant with 26 points and nine rebounds.
