PORTLAND, Ore. -- Two more Portland Pilot men's soccer players have earned national recognition, with Delentz Pierre making the TopDrawerSoccer Postseason Best XI Third Team and Nick Fernandez making the Freshman Best XI Second Team.
Pierre is the first Pilot to make the TopDrawerSoccer Best XI since Benji Michel in 2018. Pierre was dominant on the back line for the Pilots, starting all 21 matches for Portland. He helped the Pilots earn 10 shutouts, which was the highest total for the team since 1990. Pierre also scored two goals, including the game-winner against Western Michigan to help the Pilots advance to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals for the first time since 1995.
