PORTLAND, Ore. – Pepperdine raced out to a big lead early and never looked back in an 83-58 victory over the Portland Pilots in West Coast Conference men's basketball action Thursday night at the Chiles Center.
The Pilots (7-16, 0-8 WCC) dropped their ninth straight game, while the Waves (11-11, 4-4) evened their overall and WCC record with the win.
Pepperdine shot 55 percent from the field for the game, the highest of a Portland opponent this year. The Pilots shot a season-low 31 percent overall.
Portland sophomore guard Jojo Walker led the Pilots with nine points, while junior forward Kameron Edwards paced the Waves with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
