SEATTLE, Wash.---Laura Pellicoro set a new school record of 4:34.45 in the women's indoor mile on day two of the UW Husky Classic on Saturday afternoon, surpassing the previous record of 4:36.92 held by Taryn Rawlings in 2019. Pellicoro finished in seventh-place overall with the new personal record.
Ellie Erikson garnered 82nd place in the mile run with a time of 5:01.35.
"Fantastic race for Laura!" said head coach Ian Solof. "She gave everything she had and came away with a school record and a likely qualifying spot for the NCAA meet. She raced perfectly and showed a lot of poise and grit.
