SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Portland Pilot runner Laura Pellicoro was named WCC Co-Women's Runner of the Year for the 2022 Cross Country Season, alongside BYU's Aubrey Frentheway.
Pellicoro's 2022 Cross Country season was excellent, with her running a new 6k personal best on three separate occasions - 19:58.3 at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, 19:50.7 at the WCC Championships and 19:21.8 from the NCAA West Regional Championships, respectively. Additionally, she earned All-WCC First Team Honors for finishing runner-up at the WCC Championships, All-Region honors for finishing second at the NCAA West Regional Championships and All-American honors for finishing 25th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
