SAN MATEO, Calif. – The Portland men's tennis team swept the West Coast Conference weekly awards after convincing victories over Santa Clara and San Francisco last weekend. Sema Pankin earned WCC Singles Player of the Week honors, while Issa Yoshida and Nicklas Oberg garnered the WCC Doubles Team of the Week award.
Pankin continued his stellar play at the top of Portland's lineup in leading the Pilots to a pair of important conference wins. He defeated Santa Clara's Guillaume Dalmasso by a 6-3, 6-4 margin on Friday and then cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win against Nil Giraldez of San Francisco on Sunday.
