PORTLAND, Ore. – The No. 6 Portland Pilots earned a huge win over the No. 12 San Diego Toreros 2-1 at Merlo Field. The win improves Portland's record to 9-0-2 and 2-0-1 in WCC play, their best record through 11 games since 2018 and their first unbeaten start through 11 games since 2022.
David Ajagbe and Alex Waggoner were the goalscorers on the evening. Ajagbe's goal was his seventh of the year, the most of any Pilot this year, and Waggoner's goal was his third.
