PORTLAND, Ore. – The No. 24 Portland Pilots earned a win over the Kansas City Roos 1-0 to improve to 5-0 on the season with five shutouts. The Roos were ranked 17th in the latest College Soccer News Poll and 19th per TopDrawerSoccer.
The Pilots are now unbeaten in their last 15 games dating back to last season. They pushed past the Roos with the game-winner from Anton Hjalmarsson. They have outscored opponents 18-0, posting five straight shutout victories to start the season for the first time since 1988.
