PORTLAND, Ore. --- The No. 20 Pilots compiled 21 shots on the night, including a pair of attempts that hit the cross bar, but in the end Portland and the Colgate Raiders played to a 0-0 draw in the season-opener for both teams Friday at Merlo Field. Portland goalkeeper Nico Campuzano collects his first career solo shutout and finished with three saves.
The Pilots (0-0-1) had the game's first quality chances as both Yusuf Cueceoglu and Luke Hendel hit the cross bar with shots in the opening 15 minutes. Cueceoglu rattled the frame with a strike from about 20 yards out in the seventh minute, and Hendel did the same only moments later.
