SEATTLE, Wash. --- The No. 2 North Carolina Tar Heels scored twice in the first half and added two more goals after the break to defeat the Portland Pilots 3-0 on the day final day of the Husky Invitational on Sunday at Husky Soccer Stadium.
The Pilots (1-1-1) were solid defensively to open the game, but the Tar Heels (4-0-0) caught a break in the 28th minute with the day's first goal. UNC sent a ball into the six-yard box, and it took a few deflections before ending up in the back of the net. Brianna Pinto was credited with the goal, which was the first conceded by the Pilots this season.
