PORTLAND, Ore. – In order to provide a safe and secure environment at University of Portland events, new security measures are being implemented at all Pilot Athletic events, as well as other major events held in the Chiles Center this year. The measures will be in effect beginning with the women's soccer exhibition match against the University of British Columbia on Friday, Aug. 10 at Merlo Field at the Clive Charles Soccer Complex.
Security measures include metal detectors at all entrances, while backpacks, duffel bags or bags larger than 12" x 12" x 6" will be prohibited. Fans are encouraged to utilize clear bags to expedite the process.
