COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Four Portland women took to the track on day 2 of the NCAA West Preliminary held on Thursday at Cushing Stadium.
Freshman Laura Pellicoro ran a good race in the first of four 800 meter run heats to start the day for Portland. She posted a time of 2:07.18 for 22nd overall, but missed advancing to the quarterfinals by .04 seconds.
Three Pilots competed in the 10,000 meter run to close the evening. Anna Pataki, also a qualifier for Saturday's 5,000 meter run, was Portland's top finisher in a time of 34:14.
