ORLANDO, FL.--- A few weeks ago the Scholar Baller program, in conjunction with the National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS), announced the recipients of the 2016 Academic Momentum Award. Senior Brittney Markwith was one of the 20 recipients to earn First-Team Academic Momentum honors.
Markwith was an large contributor to the Portland volleyball team over the last four years, helping the program climb to one of their best ever finishes in conference. Graduating with a degree in general studies, she leaves UP ranking third all-time in block assists (327), sixth all-time in total blocks, and 10 all-time in blocks per set.
