Former Portland Pilots rower Maddie Olson is set to represent the United States Women's Rowing team at the World University Games this summer.
The World University Games are an international event that draws student-athletes from all across the world. Athletes from across the world represent their countries in several sports, including rowing, archery, basketball and more. The games begin on July 27th with the opening ceremony, with rowing events taking place between Aug. 4-6.
Olson is coming off a decorated five-year career with Portland Pilots rowing. She was a mainstay of the first varsity eight for most of that time and was named to the All-WCC team three times, including this past season.
