LMU Overcomes Energized Pilots & Turley’s Double-Double at WCC Tourney

LAS VEGAS, Nev. --- Portland's Corissa Turley registered her first career double-double, Darian Slaga nearly matched a career-high with 18 points, and the Pilots used a big second-half run to climb back into the game, but in the end the Loyola Marymount Lions held on for an 85-72 win at the West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Championships on Thursday afternoon at the Orleans Arena. The Lions (11-19) advance to the next round to face Saint Mary's, while the Pilots (3-27) set their sights on next season.

Turley, a junior transfer who joined the Pilots from the College of the Sequoias, matched a career-high with 18 points, while reaching a new career-best with 11 rebounds.
