Lions Dominant in Second Half, Pull Away from Pilots

PORTLAND, Ore. – James Batemon scored 19 of his 28 points in the second half to lead the Loyola Marymount Lions to a 72-55 victory over the Portland Pilots Saturday night in a West Coast Conference men's basketball game at the Chiles Center.

The game was tied at the half, but LMU used a 27-4 run midway through the second half to put the game away. The Pilots (7-16, 0-11 WCC) losing streak extends to 12 games, while the Lions (17-8, 5-6) complete the season sweep of Portland with the victory.

Marcus Shaver Jr. led Portland with 19 points, while JoJo Walker added 15 points and Tahirou Diabate finished with 12.
