PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland redshirt-senior pitcher Chris Clements was named to the 2019 West Coast Conference Baseball All-Academic Team as the Pilots had a league-high 13 players honored overall.
Clements was masterful in his one year on The Bluff, going 7-1 overall with a 1.69 ERA. A graduate student from Pacific Grove, Calif., he has a cumulative GPA of 3.83 and he's working towards a masters in management communication. He registered two complete-game wins this season, with one being a shutout, and he ranks seventh nationally in WHIP (0.89), he's eighth in ERA, and he's 20th in hits allowed per 9.
