PORTLAND, ORE. --- Portland Pilots women's cross country junior Lauren LaRocco earned the WCC's Runner of the Month honors for September, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
LaRocco led the Pilots to a first-place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational on September 24th. With a third-place finish individually (21:30), she helped the Pilots top seven other ranked teams, including three top-10 teams in that week's rankings. Portland had a dominant team score of 74, more than 50 points ahead of No. 9 Michigan State in second place.
