Late San Diego Run Lifts Toreros Over Pilots in Season Finale

PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland freshman Darian Slaga registered a double-double and the Pilots led San Diego late in the third quarter, but the Toreros rallied before holding on for a 77-67 win in the West Coast Conference women's basketball regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at the Chiles Center. Slaga had career-highs in both points (19) and rebounds (10) to claim the first double-double by a Portland player this season.

The first half was back-and-forth as the Pilots (3-26, 1-17 WCC) opened the game on fire from the field. Trailing by two points late in the first quarter, Holly Blades drilled a deep three-pointer to give Portland its first lead of the game.
