PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland women's track and field student-athletes Lauren LaRocco and Taryn Rawlings, along with Portland Baseball's Connor Knutson have been named the University of Portland's U.S Bank Student-Athletes of the Month for February.
Seniors Lauren LaRocco and Taryn Rawlings both qualified to compete at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Track a Field Championships during the month of February. LaRocco qualified for the 5000m with the ninth best time in her field (15:33.20), while Rawlings secured the 14th spot in the mile preliminary race (4:36.00). This is the first time in UP History that the women's track and field team had sent two Pilots to compete at the Championships.
