LaRocco Lands on the Podium Again at the NCAA National Championships

EUGENE, Ore. --- Lauren LaRocco reached the podium again at the 2016 NCAA National Championships on Saturday night at Hayward Field finishing 6th in the 5,000m.

Coming into the race, LaRocco had the 21st fastest qualifying time of 16:21.09. She improved on her Regional time by 15 seconds, completing the 12 and-a-half lap race at Nationals in 16:06.47.

The Sacramento, Calif. native remained with the lead pack throughout the race using her keen race sense to position herself for a final kick at the bell lap.
