SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Portland sophomore right-hander Connor Knutson is the Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week after picking up a pair of saves and a win as the Pilots went 3-1 against Oregon and BYU. Knutson is the second Pilot this season to earn conference weekly honors as Beau Brundage was named the league's player of the week in March.
Last Monday night in Eugene, Knutson earned the win by tossing 2.0 innings of scoreless relief, striking out three and allowing only one hit as the Pilots toppled the Ducks 9-7 in 11 innings at PK Park.
