PORTLAND, Ore. --- Reuben Kiprono from men's cross country and Liz Reich of volleyball are the U.S. Bank Student-Athletes of the Month for October. Kiprono paced the Pilots to a second-place finish at the West Coast Conference Championships, and Reich led her team in kills.
Kiprono, a redshirt-junior, earned All-WCC Honors with an impressive sixth-place individual finish at the WCC Cross Country Championships last weekend in Van Nuys, Calif. Being Portland's first finisher, Kiprono led the Pilots to second-place in the team competition, while also claiming a new personal record in the 8K with his time of 23:49.
