SALEM, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track & field teams were at the Willamette Invitational on Saturday. In her first outdoor season, Parkes Kendrick took the top spot in the 5,000m with her time of 16:19.93 and also claimed one of the top marks in the nation.
In her first meet of the season, Kaylie Van Loo won the javelin with a throw of 155' 2.75". In other field action, both Nathan DeVaughn and Courtney Vacek won their events. DeVaughn took first in the long jump with his leap of 22' 3.
