The Portland Pilots men's soccer team, which is fresh off a WCC Title and a trip to the NCAA Playoffs, is holding an end of the year Championship Celebration to commemorate their historical 2016 season. The banquet is set for Saturday, April 22 and will be held at the Beauchamp Recreation and Wellness Center on the University of Portland campus.
Last fall the Pilots posted one of the best turnarounds in collegiate soccer history. Portland's first-year head coach Nick Carlin-Voigt helped guide the team back to the NCAA Playoffs for the first time since 2009, while collecting their first West Coast Conference title since 2002
The Pilots collected their most wins (12) since 2009, and their 6-1 conference mark was the best since 1989.
