SEATTLE, Wash. – The Washington Huskies defeated the Portland Pilots by a 6-1 margin Saturday afternoon in men's tennis action at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. It marks the first loss of the season for the Pilots (4-1), while the Huskies (6-2) snapped a two-game losing streak.
"It was very unfortunate because I thought we were horrendous today," Portland head coach Aaron Gross said. "As a group we have not played that poorly in a long time. I definitely take some responsibility for this because we were not able to put together a strong enough early season schedule. We just needed to be tested a bit more before a match like today.
