SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- For the second week in a row and second time this season, Portland Pilots goalkeeper Miguel-Angel Hernandez was named the West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week after posting his fifth straight shutout.
Hernandez kept the No. 24 Saint Louis Billikens in check, holding them scoreless and tacking on three saves, a season high. Hernandez is currently the only WCC goalkeeper to have not allowed a goal this season and one of just four goalkeepers nationally to have not conceded a score. The Pilots have recorded shutouts in all five of Hernandez's starts and in all six matches for the first time since 1988.
