LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- The No. 13 UCLA Bruins topped the Portland Pilots 15-3 in the finale of the three-game, season-opening series on Sunday afternoon at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Cody Hawken and Daniel Lopez both homered for the Pilots.
Much like Friday and Saturday, the Bruins (3-0) jumped ahead of the Pilots (0-3) on Sunday with some early offense. This time the Bruins scored one run in both the first and second innings before taking control of the game with a five-run third. In that third frame, Kyle Cuellar, Jeremy Ydens, and Ryan Kreidler each produced RBI singles.
