Gillis Dominates on Mound, Pilots win 9-0

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Portland Pilots (24-17, 11-8 WCC) resumed WCC play in strong fashion, shutting down the Santa Clara Broncos (23-20, 11-11 WCC) 9-0 on the road. The win gives Portland their fourth straight win in WCC play. With their 24th win, the Pilots have already matched their win total from last season.

Brett Gillis was dominant on the mound, allowing no runs and just two hits with 10 strikeouts in eight innings. It's his fourth games with at least 10 strikeouts and the second time he's gone eight innings. It's also the second time he's allowed no runs in a start.
