Gaels Outshoot Pilots in Moraga

MORAGA, Calif. – Tahirou Diabate had his second straight solid game for Portland with 16 points, but Saint Mary's showed why it is one of the most efficient offensive teams in the nation in an 86-64 victory over the Pilots Thursday night at University Credit Union Pavilion.

Malik Fitts scored a game-high 27 points and Jordan Ford added 21 for the Gaels (19-4, 6-2 WCC) who remain alone in second place in the West Coast Conference standings with the victory. The Pilots (9-14, 1-7) have now lost six games in a row.

Portland again dealt with injuries as Malcolm Porter missed his third straight game and Lavar Harewood was also unavailable.
