PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland freshman forward Alex Fowler, who averaged 23.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in two games last week, is the West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Fowler also shot a blistering .760 from the field, hitting 19 of 25 shots overall.
The Pilots have claimed two of the WCC's three player of the week honors this season as Haylee Andrews previously earned the award
On Thursday during a close loss at CSUN, Fowler poured in 27 points and corralled nine rebounds, while also connecting on 10 of 13 field goals. Fowler then concluded the road trip with a 20-point performance as the Pilots pulled away from Air Force, winning 72-56 on Saturday.
