DEXTER, Ore. – The Portland Pilots put two boats on the water for their meet at Dexter Lake on Saturday, competing in both varsity eight competitions. While neither team finished in the top three, the Pilots first varsity eight finished with a season-best time of 7:03.6.

Despite several last-minute changes to the lineup, Portland's top flight finished with their fastest time this season. Sage Iona was the cox for the boat while Catherine Watson was the stroke. Sarah Redmond was put at the bow just before the race.

Lexa Wendle was plugged in as the stroke earlier this morning for the second varsity eight, with Katie Bayford moving to the seventh spot and Rachel Mann on the bow.
