SEATTLE, Wash.---Portland's men's and women's track teams concluded a very successful weekend at the MPSF Championships on Saturday at Dempsey Indoor, including two new program records set by George Duggan from the men's team and Tara Fuiten from the women's side.
In the men's mile, George Duggan kept up quite a fast pace for the entire run, winning the event in 3:59.61 for a new personal best, and breaking the previous school record set by Logan Orndorf last year. Caleb Webb also competed well, collecting ninth-place overall in 4:04.44, and claiming the tenth best time in Portland history in the men's indoor mile.
