Ducks Overcome Early Deficit to Top the Pilots in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots led after the first quarter, but it was all Oregon after that as the Ducks used a big second-half to claim an 81-41 win on Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena. Sophomore Julie Spencer matched a career high with 14 points to lead the Pilots.

Eight of those points came in the first period as the Pilots used a 16-6 run to take the early lead. Darian Slaga sparked the run with a jumper and a three, and Spencer followed with a pair of three-pointers as the Pilots led their hosts 18-16 after the first frame.
