PORTLAND, Ore. --- Dominic Doty, a native of McMinnville, Ore., who most recently was the head assistant coach at San Jose State University, is the new assistant coach for the University of Portland women's soccer program, announced first-year head coach Michelle French. While at SJSU, Doty helped the Spartans reach the 2015 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament, while guiding the Spartans to numerous program records.
"It is not by accident that the collegiate programs Dom has been a part of have subsequently flourished following his hiring," said French. "He has an incredible eye for talent, a tireless work ethic, and a great understanding of what it takes to be a successful student-athlete.
