PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots (8-2, 0-0 WCC) prevailed 71-54 in their Rose City showdown against the Portland State Vikings (4-5, 0-2 Big Sky). Dominant post play propelled the Pilots to victory, with Alex Fowler putting up 26 points and 12 rebounds and Lucy Cochrane adding 14 points, six boards and nine blocks.
Maisie Burnham was the only other Pilot to eclipse double digits on the day, scoring 10 points, all of those coming in the second quarter during a critical Pilot run. Haylee Andrews added eight points along with eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.
