SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland Pilots center Julia Dalan earned her first West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week award on Monday, garnering the honor after a stellar performance against Long Beach State. She's the first Pilot to win any weekly honor from the conference this season.
Dalan was stellar in Portland's dominant 94-58 win over the Beach, posting 13 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks for her second double-double of the season. She's one of just 10 players in the WCC to have multiple double-doubles this year and the only Pilot to have recorded one. She's the first Pilot with multiple double-doubles as a freshman since Alex Fowler in the 2019-20 season.
