PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland pitcher Chris Clements and runners Lauren LaRocco and Taryn Rawlings are the U.S. Bank Student-Athletes of the Month for March.
Clements, a senior right-hander, went 4-0 during the month, tossed two complete-games, one a shutout, and registered a 1.34 ERA. He also nabbed three WCC Pitcher of the Week awards. Clements pitched back-to-back complete games against Stephen F. Austin and Northern Colorado, and he K'd 13 during the shutout over the Bears. He closed the month by allowing just three hits in 8.0 innings against LMU, and he struck out six without issuing a walk to claim the W.
