FRESNO, Calif. – The Portland Pilots (8-2) dropped Game 2 of their series against the Fresno State Bulldogs (5-5) 1-0. It's the first time the Pilots have been shutout this season.
Brett Gillis took his first loss after allowing the winning run in the third inning. Despite the loss, Gillis pitched well, with nine strikeouts. Nick Nygard also did well in relief with three strikeouts and no runs allowed in two innings pitched.
