Bulldogs beat Portland to Close Dual Season

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs posted a 4-1 win over Portland in the regular season finale for both teams on Saturday at the Stevens Center. With the victory, Gonzaga clinched second place in the WCC standings with a 7-2 league record. Portland concludes the year at 7-14 overall and 2-7 in league.

"It's not a surprise to me that Gonzaga is where they are right now," Portland head coach Aaron Gross said. "When I saw the schedule I kind of had this match circled as a match that will probably determine a high seed in the conference tournament before Carlos (Donat) got hurt.
